This morning, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! showed us all a pretty awesome video of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . One thing that caught my eye in this video was the tire tread on the wet tires used on the car. Apparently I have a thing for tire tread.

The picture above is probably my all-time favorite, and one reason why 1950s F1 cars are so money (another reason being !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , I'm just sayin'), this one being on a 1959 Cooper.
Are there better ones out there?

I think Perrelli employs topless women to cut them in their, coke, I mean, F1 tire factory.

The Direzza *specs probably had the secksiest tire tread for any street car,
though I would rock the General Grabber UHP for my wife's truck if they made them in the right size

It was a well enforced camera-free zone. There was a Beretta up to my head the whole time.

A perennial favorite is the BFG All Terrain TA/KOs. A pattern that hasn't changed since its inception, and will probably be the same long after tires are outlawed and we resort to magnetic devices.
My next set will probably be Falken Rocky Mountain ATS, 31/10.50. I wanted to get these originally because the tread pattern is awesome and everyone is raving about their on and off road capabilities, but they didn't have any in my size; their computer screamed that 10.50s wouldn't fit on my wheels

Overhaulin' Season 2 Episode 12. This was my first exposure to hand-cut tires and it blew my mind at the time. I'm not so sure if it's better but it is certainly pretty damn cool haha

Actually, the blue sidewall lettering denotes that those babies are the Full Wet tyres!
Inters are green.

Yes! You are correct. Meant to change it, and have now done so!

I remember a Scottish gentleman in tight white trousers telling me on the BBC that at [a certain speed], an F1 car on wet tyres is displacing around 80 litres (21.13 US gallons) of water per second .
So there's your interesting fact for the day!
